  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Damage increased by 5% and duration increased to 6 seconds (was 4 seconds). Now available at level 25 (was 30).
  • Battle for Azeroth Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now knocks back all nearby enemies.
  • Legion Patch 7.2.0 (2017-03-28): Damage increased by 18%.
  • Legion Hotfix (2017-01-23): Increased the damage of Blast Wave by 3%.
  • Legion Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Now always radiates outward from the caster, and no longer deals additional damage to the primary target. Damage reduced by 50%. Now available at level 30 (was level 60).
  • Legion Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): No longer has 2 charges and no longer replaces Spell frost frostnova [Frost Nova]. Now available at level 60 (was level 75).
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Re-added as a level 75 Fire mage talent (was a tier 3 Fire talent), and now replaces Frost Nova. Now radiates outward from the targeted enemy, dealing additional damage to the primary target, or outward from the caster if no target is selected.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Moved to tier 3 (was tier 5) and redesigned. A wave of flame radiates outward from the target location, damaging all enemies caught within the blast for X Fire damage and are slowed by 70% for 3 sec. No longer requires Spell fire fireball02 [Pyroblast].
    Old: A wave of flame radiates outward from the caster, damaging all enemies caught within the blast for X Fire damage, knocking them back and dazing them for 6 sec.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): The mana cost of this talent has been significantly reduced.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small Patch 3.0.3 (2008-11-04): No longer receives double the intended critical strike bonus from Combustion.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Added a knockback effect to the spell. Targets are now thrown between 10 and 15 yards away from the caster.
