Gained at level 30 from The Affray, the Berserker Stance is your stance for becoming the unstoppable force with Berserker Stance-unique abilities such as Intercept, Berserker Rage, Whirlwind, Pummel and Recklessness as opposed to being the immovable object(Defensive Stance). The +3% crit is a decent improvement to your overall DPS, but not the highlight of this stance. The +10% damage taken should be viewed by warriors as both a blessing and a curse. The good part of it being the increased rage generation when being hit, the bad part which is the obviously quicker death. |

Gained at level 30 from The Affray, the Berserker Stance is your stance for becoming the unstoppable force with Berserker Stance-unique abilities such as [Intercept], [Berserker Rage], [Whirlwind], [Pummel] and [Recklessness] as opposed to being the immovable object( [Defensive Stance]). The +3% crit is a decent improvement to your overall DPS, but not the highlight of this stance. The +10% damage taken should be viewed by warriors as both a blessing and a curse. The good part of it being the increased rage generation when being hit, the bad part which is the obviously quicker death.
Talent Improvements
[Improved Berserker Stance] increases attack power by 10% while in Berserker Stance.
[Tactical Mastery] allows you to increase the amount of rage retained while switching stances.
Tips
This stance is mostly a soloing one, although it has some use in Main Assist positions, provided the Main Tank is able to regain aggro from a lucky run of berserk critical hits, given that it is the opposite of [Defensive Stance].
Over the long run, the Berserker Stance is marginally more successful and time efficient for solo XP work than [Battle Stance], with quicker fights, but longer rest required between fights, so in the end, it's a matter of personal preference. For farming low-level (Grey or Green) enemies; to complete old quests or harvest loot, Berserker Stance helps speed the process up enormously.
Useful in PvP, especially for the Fear and Incapacitate removal and immunity that [Berserker Rage] provides. Most non-melee enemies will try to avoid a direct brawl with the Warrior, and use any type of fear available, so clever timing with this ability can turn the tables completely. [Pummel] is also an invaluable PvP tool. A good tactic is to start in [Battle Stance], use [Charge], then swap to Berserker Stance for the rest of the fight.
To get the most out of the Critical Bonus, consider [Cruelty] and [Poleaxe Specialization] Talents as part of an accompanying Talent Build. The bonuses work best either with lots of very fast hits, or very large ones, so Dual-Wield fast swords or daggers, or a very large Two Handed weapon, and use [Slam] to counter the slow timer.
