You summon a flurry of stars from the sky on all targets within 30 yards of the caster, each dealing X Arcane damage. Also causes Y Arcane damage to all other enemies within 5 yards of the enemy target. Maximum 20 stars. Lasts 10 sec. Shapeshifting into an animal form or mounting cancels the effect. Any effect which causes you to lose control of your character will suppress the starfall effect.
Starfall is a Druid ability obtained from the 7th tier of the Balance tree. It is a non-channeled Area of Effect spell that deals arcane damage to enemy targets within 40 yards of the caster. Although it does not cause an especially high amount of damage, it is a 10 second buff that does not require player interference, which allows a druid to have it up while casting other spells and abilities. The buff itself cannot be dispelled or spell stolen.
In PvP, [Starfall] becomes a valuable, albeit dangerous ability; when used against large crowds it can deal massive damage. It can also be a notable single target damage boost.
Starfall's effect is suppressed while you are incapacitated by any means, (i.e. stunned or feared).
The starfall buff will be completely removed if you shift into any form other than caster or [Moonkin Form].

Talents
The following talents listed may only include part of the description that affects [Starfall].
Balance
[Moonfury] Increases nature and arcane damage by 15% as well as increases the critical strike damage bonus of various balance abilities including [Starfall].
[Nature's Majesty] Increases the critical strike chance with spells by 2% (4% at full rank 2/2).
[Moonglow] Decreases the mana cost of damage and healing spells by 3% (9% at full rank 3/3).
[Balance of Power] Increases you nature and arcane damage by 1% and also increases you spell hit rating by an amount equal to 50% of your spirit (2% damage and hit rating equal to 100% of spirit at full rank 2/2).
[Moonkin Form] Increases your you nature and arcane damage by 10% as well as 5% haste (Full rank 1/1).
Owlkin Frenzy Has a 5% chance to increases your damage with balance spells by 10% for 10 seconds when activated by a damaging attack against you. (Increases the chance to recieve the buff to 15% at full rank 3/3).
[Earth and Moon] Your [Wrath] and [Starfire] spells apply the earth and moon effect, which increases spell damage taken by 8% for 12 seconds. Also increases your spell damage by 2%. (Full rank 1/1).
Starfall can be used on a boss fight to deal additional damage without much if any deficit, as the Global Cooldown used to cast the spell will be made up for in the amount of damage it deals, provided you are in range of the boss or mobs for the duration.
If you are not using [Glyph of Focus], it is very important for you to know what mobs are around you and if they are within 40 yards before casting Starfall because it will hit every target in a 40 yard radius around you.
Patch changes
Patch 3.3.3 (2010-03-23): The damage done by this spell has been significantly increased.
Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Cooldown reduced to 90 seconds.
Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): Instead of canceling shapeshifting, now cancels on shapeshifting into an animal form.
