Ixidane is a rogue, a loner, some would say a scoundrel.

Biography

There are many details of Ixidane's life that are unknown. What is known is that, being completely unskilled in the druidic arts ((Some say he was the worst druid to ever try and druid)), he was unable to follow in his father's footsteps as wished. Instead, his mother trained him in the arts of the blade and he then served secretly for many years as an unofficial reserve member for the Sentinels. Officially, he learned and performed the duties of a field medic, tending to the wounded in battles against demons and trolls. He even performed these skills for civilians and earned much of his living as a doctor. Off the record and away from the majority of eyes, he served as an advance scout. When it became more acceptable for men to serve in this role after the Third War, he was one of the first to be officially acknowledged for his efforts. Soon after being officially inducted, he left Night Elf society to travel the world and has returned rarely since. He seems very resistant to the idea of returning for any length of time, though no one is entirely certain why.

He traveled across the continent and eventually ended up in Ratchet where he became an apprentice to the Goblin alchemists there. For a while he put his skills to use selling potions and poisons to visitors who arrived on ships or from the Barrens. He grew tired of this after a while and took a more direct employment with the Steamwheedle Cartel. He sailed to Booty Bay where he worked for many months helping with their Bloodsail and Troll problems. With Booty Bay being a major trading city and port, many people of all races and walks of life came through the town and Ixidane developed quite a network of customers from all over the world who were seeking help with their various problems.

He set out, traveling from one part of the globe to the next selling his services to whoever needed an extra sharp blade. The War Effort came and went. The Lich King sent Naxxramas and reinforcements for his armies to the Plaguelands and they were defeated. Ixidane did do some trading with the leaderships of whoever was leading the charge, but he never fought in any of the major conflicts personally, choosing to instead hire himself out to those who had no one else to solve their own problems at home, their loved ones off at war. He made a considerable amount of coin this way.

When the Dark Portal was opened, Ixidane saw the possible opportunities that laid in shipping goods to Alliance soldiers who had been trapped in Outland for 20 years. He continued his business of mercenarism (( Is that even a word? )) and made new contacts throughout the new world. He became heavily involved in smuggling operations for the Consortium and was often seen assisting the Goblins at Area 52 with their projects. He decided that he liked the place enough to declare it his home and bought a small house in the town.

Though he still claims residence in Area 52, he had been renting a small shack in the Dalaran Sewers until recently when his contract with the Argent Crusade ended. Last had been heard, he had returned home to investigate shady warnings given to him by a Blood Elf visitor. He set out from Darnassus soon after, and hasn't been heard from by anyone since.

Appearance

Ixidane stands at 6'0", a little bit short for a Night Elf. Though he is a good deal younger than many in his race, his hair is already a ghostly white (some say he dyes it, and they may in fact be right). He is normally clad entirely in leather with knives of various kinds strapped in convenient places for different situations.

Personality and Current Goals

Ixidane is a loner, though he attends events on rare occasions when he is seeking excitement. In recent times, he has taken to drinking a bit more often. He spends the majority of his time operating freelance for the various factions of Azeroth who might require his services. He is currently in between contracts.

Unlike many other Night Elves, Ixidane believes completely and totally in the powers of SCIENCE! He is very skilled in Alchemy, and is often seen employing large amounts of technology, despite the fact that he is not an engineer. He often muses that he was born in the wrong body, and that he should've been a Goblin or a Dwarf.

Ixidane harbors absolutely no racial or political ill will towards anyone, be they human, elf, orc, or even undead. He is a bit cautious around gnomes though, as he has met several who have been extremely racist towards his kind. Aside from this, he does business with absolutely anyone who would seek his services, provided they are willing to pay his fees.

He is also a first rate chef!

• Even when flagged OOC, approaching him IC can sometimes convince him to switch his status (as sometimes he forgets to do this manually).
