Astromancer Darnarian is a level 70 elven quest giver located in the Sun's Reach Sanctum of the Isle of Quel'Danas. He spawns when players have activated the Sunwell Portal in Shattrath City as part of the Shattered Sun Offensive storyline.

In spite of his clearly high elven model, he has the voice of a blood elf NPC. This could either be an error, or that he supports the new direction the blood elves are going, or maybe something to reflect his rather harsh personality.
On the other hand, the error could be in his high elven appearance; and Darnarian is in fact a blood elf, simply given the wrong model by Blizzard designers.
Finally he could simply be a blood elf with blue eyes as there is nothing in the lore saying that can't happen. Infact the blood elf priests in Warcraft 3 had blue eyes.
