Hordefall and Stormraze are two weeklong festivities celebrated during the week of September 16th by the Horde and Alliance, respectively, to commemorate their victories and memorialize their losses against their respective foes in the opposing faction - specifically, the fall of the Old Horde in the Second War and the sacking of Stormwind in the First War. The event includes numerous opportunities for players to participate in the festivities and accrue Pride Tokens - event-unique tokens that allow players to purchase various cosmetic rewards and even earn a new title.

Celebrated by the Alliance since the end of the Second War, Hordefall commemorates the victories of that vicious conflict and honors the fallen who gave their lived in support of the Alliance of Lordaeron. Heroes are honored, songs are sung, tales are told, and the spirit of the Alliance is renewed in the face of the coming storm in their conflict with the Horde.

Held by the Old Horde after the fall of Stormwind, Stormraze enshrines the conquest of Stormwind by the Horde during the First War. Though the holiday died out after the loss of the Horde in the Second War, the tradition has enjoyed a massive resurgence under Warchief Garrosh Hellscream, with celebrations in the rebuild Orgrimmar reaching thousands of participants.

In Stormwind and Orgrimmar, a number of attractions are available. Primarily, an large parade occurs every two hours that winds its way through each city, including members of every race from every walk of life. The parades last about half an hour, and pass by most attractions that the holiday has to offer.

Beyond the parade itself, players can enjoy helping hang celebratory banners throughout the city, purchasing and throwing confetti, listening to speeches by their favorite faction leaders, throwing rotten fruit and Horde and Alliance prisoners of war, watching public executions of the same, observing ornate fireworks displays, and aid their faction's mailmen in delivering letters to home from the front lines.

In Stormwind, the speeches will occur every time the parade passes by Stormwind Keep, and will include King Varian Wrynn's and two other random faction leaders' speeches. In Orgrimmar, they occur when the parade passes through the Valley of Strength, where Warchief Hellscream and two other random Horde faction leaders will speak. The taverns of the two capitals overflow with raucous patrons who sing songs and shanties of victories past, and crowds swarm the streets, cheering for the glory of their faction.
