This can be a pretty rough fight and practically requires you to keep your tank topped off at all times (Lifebloom can help here). He has a time stop ability and does not stop attacking when he uses this, he also has a breath that deals a considerable amount of damage (~3k+) so you need to face him away from the group. Try to DPS him down fast as your healer can run out of mana quickly. It's recommended to bring an offhealer for this reason, or a druid who can innervate your main healer.

Strategy

This can be a pretty rough fight and practically requires you to keep your tank topped off at all times (Lifebloom can help here). He has a time stop ability and does not stop attacking when he uses this, he also has a breath that deals a considerable amount of damage (~3k+) so you need to face him away from the group. Try to DPS him down fast as your healer can run out of mana quickly. It's recommended to bring an offhealer for this reason, or a druid who can Spell nature lightning [Innervate] your main healer.

  • Hunters can remove the Frenzy with Spell nature drowsy [Tranquilizing Shot].
  • Warriors tanking him should try to have Ability warrior shieldreflection [Spell Reflection] up constantly as it does reflect his timestop and allows you to keep dpsing, use a potion, keep building rage, etc.

As long as you can keep the tank healed and hold aggro without incident, he is not a particularly complicated fight: it's simply a race to kill him before the healer runs out of mana.

Notes

  • As of 2.0.12, the beacons are no longer viable to use; the boss removes them with an AoE dispel.
  • If you wipe on the final boss and managed to keep the shield high throughout the fight, you can run back and engage again. He lowers the shield VERY slowly. Run back and give him a try! If you succeed getting back to him, his health will be at 100%
  • Aeonus is one of the bosses that drop the Inv misc ticket tarot lunacy [Ace of Lunacy].
  • Hunters under the effect of Ability druid ferociousbite [Bestial Wrath] are immune to Time Stop.
